ESL - English as a Second Language

Please invite those you think might benefit from the ESL class starting this Wednesday, January 9th! It is helpful to offer to come with them the first night. Remember that it could be very intimidating to come to an unknown church by yourself! ESL classes will follow the same Wednesday night schedule as the Boys Brigade and Pioneer Girls from 6:30- 8:00pm.

Our Worship Service

Both worship services follow the same format and style. Generally, we start our service in praise and song to our God using music that is a mix of contemporary and traditional favorites led by our own praise musicians. We then spend some time hearing the needs of our congregation and praying together. This is followed by an offering and music and then the message usually provided by Pastor Van Gilst. Mark is a down-to-earth preacher who speaks from his heart and always has a challenge and an encouragement for us to take home. We believe that you’ll find our congregation friendly and accepting in a way that you may not have experienced before.

Our Fellowship Time and Sunday School

Our early service is followed by a brief fellowship time of coffee and snacks which is a great time to get to know the people of Cornerstone. Usually, Pastor Mark will be available to greet you at the door as you leave the church but we would love to get to know you better during this time. During the school year, there are Sunday School classes for all ages and several options for adults. These classes are offered right after the fellowship time (10-10:45 except summer). Please see the Sunday School section of the website for information on the current offerings. Our adult classes and youth classes are well attended.

How to Get Around

When you first enter the Cornerstone building, someone will be there to greet you and answer any questions you may have.
