ESL - English as a Second Language

Please invite those you think might benefit from the ESL class starting this Wednesday, January 9th! It is helpful to offer to come with them the first night. Remember that it could be very intimidating to come to an unknown church by yourself! ESL classes will follow the same Wednesday night schedule as the Boys Brigade and Pioneer Girls from 6:30- 8:00pm.

  Cornerstone Adult Sunday School

Download the 2013 Winter Sunday School Brochure

Young Adults
Led by Pastor Dave in Room 101

This class stresses fellowship among those who have graduated high school through about age 25.  We are studying Genesis  at the moment.

Fellowship Class
Led by Billy Haines and Ralph Jarrell in Rooms 203/204

People in this class will go directly to class and have their coffee and cookies in the classroom.  There will be ample time for fellowship, for getting to know new people, and for body life.  The class will do a study of James.  If you want to connect with other people during the Sunday School hour, this is the class for you.

Shorter Catechism
Led by Bruce Boone and Mark Whiteman in Room 208

This is a broad overview of the Westminster Shorter Catechism.  We will be studying the first 25 questions.  The class will learn with certainty and fullness the rich Heritage of the Reformed Faith.  We will not try to memorize the 25 questions, but develop a greater understanding of the Catechism as a body of Doctrine provable from Scripture.  This will be of great benefit to those interested in learning the Doctrinal Standards of The Presbyterian Church of America and the Reformed faith.

Real Conversations
Led by Tim Malone in Room 210

Real conversations is learning skills that enable us to talk about real things in our lives and the lives of people around us, especially talking about brokenness and suffering, in a way that transforms hearts.  These skills will equip us to walk alongside others and love them, while God heals our hearts.

Building Intimacy with Christ (Women’s Class)
Led by Sandy Baker, Melissa Jarratt, Carolyn Quesenberry and Eileen Williams in the Sanctuary

This class will focus on looking for Jesus in our daily lives.  Through sharing with others in small groups, it is our hope to encourage one another to see Jesus in every moment of life...through our interactions with others, our situations and struggles, readings, songs, and/or individual time with God.  If you plan on attending this class and cannot make our first meeting, please contact one of the facilitators so we can be sure to get you into a small group.
