Free English Classes!
We welcome people from any background who want to learn English as a second language and learn more about American culture. Our regular class schedule meets weekly on Wednesday evenings during the school year from September through April. Our summer schedule meets about once a month from May- August.
All teachers are volunteers who want to help you learn to speak English. They have completed training to teach English as a second language.
All classes are free. Students may choose to purchase their textbook for use at home.
Children are invited to join the youth programs for grades K-5, and nursery care is provided for ages infant-4 years. These programs have generally the same schedule as the English classes.
We offer the following classes:
Beginners: For those who speak little or no English.
Intermediate: For those who know just enough English to “get by”.
Advanced: For those who want to improve their pronunciation and accent to feel more comfortable conversing at work, school and in the community.
Book Club: For those already proficient in English, a discussion based advanced class focusing on vocabulary and comprehension.
