Other than nursery, we believe in the importance of all our kids worshipping with their parents and other adults, building relationships with older generations, and identifying themselves as part of the larger church community.
Therefore we have resisted the frequent practice of children joining a separate group as soon as they enter on Sunday morning. We want them to learn they “belong”.
However, we recognize our younger children will be very limited in their comprehension during the pastor’s message. Accordingly parents have the option of dismissing these children to “Children’s Church” during the message. Children are dismissed into three groups – Pre-K 3 and Pre-K 4, Kindergarten and 1st Grade, and 2nd and 3rd Grade. The Pre-K 3 & Pre-K 4 class use lessons from the a coloring book which corresponds with their Sunday School curriculum. The other two classes are studying James, which is the current sermon topic.
